I know it’s a little odd, but it really helps me to imagine each pound I’m trying to shed as a sort of remora. Remora are kind of gross, so maybe instead they are barnacles on my bow. Either way they are really slowing me down.

Currently, I am losing a pound named Mel. He’s a tenacious sucker. I haven’t seen him hanging around since the holiday season of 2012.

Mel likes me to snack on candy. This is going to be a tough season to shake him.

Mmmmm. Candy barnacles!!

Waddaya think?
